Cleaning the Spot Zero side, fresh water membrane may be necessary from time to time do to scale build up.
The first step would be to procure the fresh water membrane cleaner(252404801) from your local supplier.
Note: The product to tank may be diverted to a drain during this procedure.
Next Remove the FW doublestack pre-filter (252404301), and dissolve the chemical in the filter housing. Then put the filter back into the housing and reinstall into the system. At this time, open the flush valve (counter clockwise), on the system located by removing the front panel.
With the flush valve open, turn the dock water on. When the system kicks on, watch the TDS or PPM reading. When the ppm rises, press the emergency stop button, and allow the chemical to soak in the membrane for at least 2 hours, or overnight for heavily fouled membranes.
After system has soaked for the time period, turn the dock water back on and allow the system to flush until the PPM reading comes back down to normal. Once this happens, close the flush valve (clock wise) until the concentrate flow or over board flow is at 1 gallon per minute. The pump pressure may have to be adusted after the cleaning is done, to get the product flow dialed in to the rated capacity of the system.
